A Walk in the Past: Wicklow’s Carnegie Libraries. Part 1

The Carnegie Libraries of Bray, Greystones and Enniskerry are an important part of County Wicklow’s cultural and built heritage. Erected over a century ago, they continuously evolve to meet the needs and aspirations of their community.

In this video ‘A Walk in the Past: Wicklow’s Carnegie Libraries: Part 1’, recently retired Bray librarian Michael Kelleher provides an entertaining and informative account of the historical and social significance Carnegie libraries in County Wicklow.

Produced by Gerlanda Maniglia of the Local Studies Service and David Forde of Ballywaltrim Library Branch for Heritage Week 2020.
