Throughout 2022 BirdWatch Ireland have been running a series of monthly nature events at the East Coast Nature Reserve in Newcastle, Co. Wicklow with support from the Heritage Office of Wicklow County Council.

The events celebrate the changing seasons at this important wildlife reserve, part of the Murrough wetland complex where a variety of habitats, from rare fen to wet grasslands to birch woodland can be explored.

All events are aimed at families and the general public and are free to attend with no need to book. The entrance to the Reserve is on Sea Road, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow. For further information visit www.birdwatchireland.ie or contact info@birdwatchireland.ie.

Please bring clothing suitable for the conditions as well as footwear suitable for uneven paths and gentle inclines. Starting point for all events is the main entrance to the East Coast Nature Reserve located on Sea Road, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow.
