Wicklow Craft Foundation is a new not-for-profit community-orientated organisation based in Co. Wicklow which aims to support and encourage a wide range of craft related activities, craft businesses, craft education and training courses, craft retailers and individual craft makers whether full time or part time.

The group was officially launched in July 2022 alongside the launch of the County Wicklow Craft Strategy 2023-2027 by Minister Simon Harris at Russborough House in Blessington. The Strategy has been funded through the LEADER Rural Development Fund, County Wicklow Partnership and Wicklow County Council.

Representatives from The Wicklow Craft Foundation will be part of The Craft Strategy Group which will be working towards a more visible, viable and connected craft community through, for example, the development of more studio space for craft makers, a craft trail, branding for Wicklow craft and design and more educational opportunities in the sector.

Wicklow Craft Foundation is welcoming new members, it is open to anyone interested in crafts, art and design, heritage crafts, interior design, craft consumers, architects, film makers, retailers, educators etc.,

The first meeting of the Foundation will be taking place on Saturday 8th October at 10.30am at The Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh.
