Parnell Society Symposium 2022

Established in 1991, the Parnell Society has proudly remembered the legacy and importance of Charles Stewart Parnell and his impact on Ireland’s modern political history and his unique associations with County Wicklow and his beloved Avondale.

 

The Parnell society has continued through its summer schools to explore myriad aspects of Parnell’s life, political beliefs and impact on an ever-changing Ireland. This tradition is continued in the Parnell Symposium. Please find programme for the upcoming Parnell Symposium which will be held in The  Woodenbridge Hotel, beginning at 5.30pm on Friday the 7th of October. Guest speakers are scheduled for Saturday (please see attached poster for further details). The event culminates with a wreath laying at Parnell’s grave in Glasnevin Cemetery at 11.30pm on Sunday the 9th  by  An Taoiseach Micheal Martin.

 

Itemised timetable of speakers to follow. The event including Parnell Dinner on Saturday evening at The Woodenbridge Hotel is 100 euros. Saturday session is 50 euros and Friday evening is 25 euros. Accommodation available at The Woodenbridge Hotel.
