Roundwood Historical Society Journal Launch 2020
Jane Clarke officially launches the Roundwood Historical Society Journal 2020

The Roundwood & District Historical Society was founded over 30 years ago and each year produces an  annual journal.  Whether you are a local or a visitor to the area, each journal is full of rich treasures to help you appreciate and cherish more our wonderful local heritage.  Indeed, if you are an exile reading it in foreign places, our Journal may even bring you close to home. Current & Back issues of our Journal are listed on the website and can be ordered by contacting us using the email

In keeping with the year that’s in it, the 2020 journal was launched online by Wicklow poet Jane Clarke. Click on the video to find out more and to hear Jane recite one of her works ‘The pit ponies of Glendassan’  part of her collection on the mining heritage of nearby Glendalough.

The journal is available to purchase at local outlets in Roundwood and Laragh for €10 or may be ordered directly from the society’s website
