Kilmacanogue History Society

The Kilmacanogue History Society has been in existence since 1997. The initial idea of our founder and early Chairman, the late Tom Mulligan, was enthusiastically supported by archivist Ted Crowley and by Dairine Nuttall as secretary.

Development of the Society was intermittent in the early years with many highs and some lows, but in recent years growth has been steady. The focus of the Society is on local history, and with a strong team and excellent support it has become a recognised part of the Kilmacanogue community.

  • I’m seeking (or where to find) information on the roads layout for Enniskerry East (St. Valery’s Cross- Fassaroe) area Pre 1900. I have (scan copies) of Taylor and OS c 1834 and wondering if there are any other maps available. Taylor & Skinner (1777) doesn’t cover my area of interest, even though I understand the road I’m researching was a coach road. Old Connaght to ‘Powerscourt’ via Cookstown. Would appreciate any info. jeh
