How interesting Grace, thanks for sharing!
At the front of the Carnegie library the Powerscourt crest of the arms is above the entrance. If you look carefully you’ll see that one of the horses is missing a leg. My great grandfather Daniel Seery confessed many moons ago that he broke it by throwing a stone at it as a young lad. It would have been not long after it was built, in the 1910’s or early 1920’s at the latest.
