  • At the front of the Carnegie library the Powerscourt crest of the arms is above the entrance. If you look carefully you’ll see that one of the horses is missing a leg. My great grandfather Daniel Seery confessed many moons ago that he broke it by throwing a stone at it as a young lad. It would have been not long after it was built, in the 1910’s or early 1920’s at the latest.
