Glendalough: An Age Old Attraction

These images are sourced from the National Library of Ireland’s photographic collection and are reproduced with consent from the NLI as part of the Glendalough: An Age Old Attraction exhibition. The exhibition was created for Heritage Week 2016 and depicts the enduring attraction of the Glendalough Valley for visitors for 100 years and more. This project is one of a series of initiatives by the Glendalough Heritage Forum a partnership group, set up to to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation of the rich heritage of the Glendalough valley. Other activities in 2016 included talks, the development of a graveyard trail and community survey, hosting of  a community archaeological excavation and guided tours.
