The second Heritage Plan for  Wicklow builds on the actions of the previous plan under four key objective areas as follows: 

• Compiling Information on Wicklow’s Heritage Resource
• Raising Awareness & Appreciation of this resource
• Promoting best practice among Wicklow County Council and wider community to better protect heritage
• Encourage partnership and active participation in heritage management in county Wicklow.
