Help Record Wicklow's coast

Help record Wicklow’s coast! The 2017 All Ireland Coastwatch Ireland survey period runs from September 15th to October 15th. No expertise is needed just an interest in the outdoors and a commitment to walking your pre-registered 500m of coast and filling in a questionnaire to record your observations as you go! An ideal activity for schools, clubs, dog walkers and beach combers and a great way to do your bit for conservation.

Step 1: Find your area and plan your survey. Visit  Coastwatch website and book your site(s). There is a map that you can click on to view the coast and select one or more survey units (SU = 500m)

Step 2 Download the Materials. Download the Coastwatch Survey questionnaire and fill it in when you visit your site/s . (There is also useful guidance to read about the survey and helpful  ID guides for shellfish, seaweed etc)

Step 3 Return the data to Coastwatch (either by submitting online or posting back forms)
