Hidden History Walk in the Wicklow Uplands

2.00pm sharp to 5.00pm (approx)

As part of Heritage Week 2013, Wicklow Uplands Council in co-operation with Round wood Historical & Folklore Society is hosting a guided walk which will be led by local history experts. Starting at Castlekevin, travelling through the village of Annamoe, then traversing the old road to Derralossary, the walk will cover historical aspects & points of interest along the route. Segments of the walk will access land not usually open to the public.

The meeting point will be at the Parish Centre, Roundwood, Co Wicklow, and from there you will be transferred by minibus to Castlekevin to return on foot via Annamoe and Derralossary Church.

  • Moderately strenuous, 6km walk
  • Bring some snacks and refreshments and dress for the weather
  • Not suitable for unaccompanied children
  • No wheelchair access
