Holy Wells of County Wicklow Fundraiser Walk
Relaxing day of walks to three Holy Wells in Co.Wicklow on Sunday 23rd April to fundraise for stone signs and information plaques at:
St Kevin’s Well Glasnamullen:
St Luin’s Well Moneystown:
Brides Holy Well Brides Head:
Walk along ancient ways and learn about the rituals, traditions and folklore associated with the Holy Wells in the pre-Christian and Christian traditions.
Well 1: St Kevin’s Well Glendalough.
11.30am: Meeting point at The Visitor’s Centre Glendalough.
Please arrive and park early as it can be difficult to get parking.
11.45: Walk to the well and short talk at the well.(40 min)
Well 2: Lady’s Well Carrick Mountain.
1.30pm: Meeting Point Moneystown Church.
1.45pm: Drive to Ballymanus Upper, Glenealy.
The walk and talk will take one hour. Moderate level of fitness required.
3pm: Coffee break in Ashford
Well 3: Trinity Holy Well Ashford.
4pm Meeting Point Romany Stone Restaurant Ashford
4.15pm: Drive to Trinity Well (30 min to get there and short talk)
Cost: Suggested DONATION €10
(It is possible to visit just one well and not all three)
