Kilmacanogue and the 1911 Census

Catriona will explore how the online 1911 census can be used for family and local history purposes, including the various search mechanisms available. The rich microhistory contained in the census will be demonstrated, including information about the physical fabric of buildings in Kilmacanogue. Some of the long-established family names in the area will be accessed – it could be yours !
Catriona Crowe is Head of Special Projects at the National Archives of Ireland. She is Editor of Dublin 1911, published in 2011, Adjunct Professor of History at the University of Limerick, and a member of the Royal Irish Academy.
