Glendalough Churches
This eagerly awaited talk will be given by Chris Corlett who is both an Archaelogist with the National Monuments Service and Cultural Tourism Officer with the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. In his illustrated presentation, Chris will trace the history of the Glendalough Churches from early Christian times to the thirteenth century. The ancient churches, crosses, archways and St Kevin’s bed are just some of the items that will be brought to life by Chris in his presentation.
Chris is the author, co-author or editor of several books including ‘Antiquities of Old Rathdown’, ‘The Liam Price Notebooks’ (with M.Weaver), ‘Beneath the Poulaphuca Reservoir’, ‘Jane W. Shackleton’s Ireland’, and ‘Darkest Dublin’.
