The Nectar Way Network Partner Event

Please find attached below the poster for this networking event at Season Park Farm Allotments on Thursday 5th July starting at 6.30pm in the evening – it is an eco-tourism networking event with many possibilities. 

We would like to draw stakeholders with an interest in food, honey, bees, biodiversity, and tourism – it is an introduction of the concept ‘The Nectar Way’.

 Title: The Nectar Way Network Partner Event

Time & Date: Thursday 5th July, from 18:30 to 20.30 (21.00 at the latest)

Venue: Season Park Farm, Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow

Theme: An evening of discussion & information sharing. Bringing together a mix of stakeholders & interest groups- with the common themes of pollinators, biodiversity, local food & tourism in County Wicklow.

Format: 

18.30-19.00: Arrival, meet & greet, informal networking, refreshments.
19.00-19.30: A short presentation by Karl Byrne & Partner introducing The Nectar Way, followed by a few minutes of open questions. 
19.30-20.15: 3-4 short presentations/introductions from different people working in the space. Ideally we’ll have a nice mix of representatives from some of the following; beekeeper, farmer/food producer, landowner/estate manager, heritage/local history expert, tourism industry. 
20.15-20.30/21.00: Discuss next steps, a follow-up event and how to stay in touch.
Some more informal networking. 

 

Directions: 

 

Drive towards Greystones/Wicklow along N11, then after Greystones/Kilpedder exit, take the Newtownmoutnkennedy exit off the N11. 

Follow into the village, take a right at the triangle, keep Fishers cafe on your right and head up past Season Park housing estate. 

The allotments are the second exit on the left, on that main road.
