Interesting Wall Mural at Ballyknocken

Photographs of this wall mural, located on the external gable end wall of what was once a shop in the village of Ballyknocken were recently forwarded to me with a query about origins?
Judging by the cars and vans depicted it would seem to record a 1920’s scene, before the flooding of the village in the valley started in 1940 to create Blessington Lakes. Whether the mural actually dates from this time is unknown, however judging by the condition of the peeling paint it could well be.
The muralĀ is a distinctive feature in the village and is surely a well recognised local landmark. Anybody know its story?
