William McDonogh

I have recently purchased a small portrait of a gentleman. The name on the back suggests he is – possibly – “Wm McDonogh of Bray” or – possibly – “Mr McDonogh of Bray”

I have been unable to ascertain who he might be, and wondered if anybody else had any clues? The portrait came in a group of items which related to the Shackleton/Leadbeater families. I have been unable to discover if the McDonogh portrait is also linked somehow to those families.
