The county Wicklow Swift project was carried out in 2019 and 2020. The aims of the project are to collect information about the status of this bird in Wicklow and to increase awareness of the ecology and conservation needs of this species and encourage everyone to take a role in protecting local populations.

This project is managed by the Heritage Office of Wicklow County Council and is made possible through funding support from the National Parks and Wildlife Service, The Heritage Council and Wicklow County Council. Oran O Sullivan is the local co-ordinator and point of contact to report sightings and seek advice , e-mail oran@irishgardenbirds.ie
