A 1798 Wicklow pike believed to have been used in the 1798 Rebellion. The item was found on the Shortt family farm in Kiloughter Co. Wicklow and is embossed with the initials ‘J.S’ which may be a connection to a J. Shortt in the family who fought in the 1798 Rebellion.
Presented by Peadar Shortt at the Wicklow Life 1916 Public Collections Day
