Letter From Peter Paul Galligan to his Brother

Letter describing Peter Paul Galligan’s imminent release after serving a nine months sentence in Reading Jail for his activities in organising the IRA in both Cavan and Leitrim. He explains how much he is looking forward to returning to Ireland.

He also describes how he made his own book shelves in the prison to house his book collection which he describes as his companions.
