Brittas Bay Nature is a five year programme focussed on biodiversity enhancement at the Council owned coastal lands at Brittas Bay. In 2021 our actions are focussed on invasive species control, grassland management and biodiversity monitoring.
Butterfly monitoring programme is part of biodiversity and conservation management at Brittas Bay. We aim to move towards community-led butterfly monitoring and welcome volunteers!
Join us at Brittas Bay on Saturday September 18th 10.00am for a nature walk looking at butterflies, plants and birdlife. This is an outdoor event and weather dependant, attendance is limited in line with Covid 19 guidelines. To book a place contact us by e mail wicklowheritage@wicklowcoco.ie giving your name and telephone number.
View our short presentation to find out more about the butterlfies to be found at Brittas Bay and how you can get involved in recording them.
