The Little Book of Wicklow

The Little Book of Wicklow by Chris Lawlor will be launched in Meitheal Café, Market Square, Dunlavin (formerly Teach de Gras public house) on Friday 28 November at 8.00 p.m. Everybody is welcome to come along on the night. Light refreshments will be served and books will be on sale at a special launch price of 12 euro per copy.

The Little Book of Wicklow is a compendium of fascinating, obscure, strange and entertaining facts about County Wicklow, the last Irish county to be created and one of the most beautiful, known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’. Here you will find out about Wicklow’s myths and legends, its great houses and other notable buildings and its famous (and occasionally infamous) men and women. Through spectacular mountains and bustling towns, this book takes the reader on a journey through County Wicklow and its vibrant past. A reliable reference book and a quirky guide, it can be dipped into time and time again to reveal something new about the people, the heritage and the secrets of this historic county.

For those who cannot attend the launch, the book is also available in all bookshops and book selling websites, and ebook and kindle versions are available to download online. The Little Book of Wicklow would be a perfect Christmas present or stocking filler for anyone with County Wicklow connections at home or abroad.
