Where to start, where to begin
The whole world has gone into a spin,
Schools are closed
And travel banned
It won’t be long until the army has us manned.
Supermarket queues and panic buying
Who is telling the truth?
Who is lying?
It’s time to rise above it all
And lighten up the tone
So take a little moment
And look at this poem.
We are often greatly bothered
By things we cannot change
If you think about these things too much
You’ll drive yourself insane.
So settle back and suck it up
Be grateful for your blessings
Read a book, sing a song
Help the children with their lessons.
In this age of technology we can all stay in touch
Mobile phones they won’t cost you much,
To say hello and hear a voice
We really have no other choice.
St. Patrick , Tuesday is your feast day
What more is there to say?
You got rid of all the neathair nimhe
I wish you were here today
You would shoo away this virus
And cheer us all right up
And then we all could celebrate
And head off to the pub.
Put things into perspective, Laugh, live, love
And say a little prayer or two
To the good man up above.
