Public Talks - Anglo-Irish Treaty Exhibition

Wicklow County Archives Service is proud to present three public talks to mark the coming of the National Archives’ exhibition The Treaty, 1921: Records from the Archives to Wicklow Library & Archives.

The talks will take place in the Council Chamber, County Buildings.  The first of the talks is on Wednesday the 27th of April at 7pm – Dr Cormac Moore will discuss the negotiations between Sinn Féin and the British government. Culminating in the signing of the Treaty in the early hours of 6 December 1921, Dr Moore will analyse the main issues negotiated and the fall-out of the Treaty. 

Dr Cormac Moore is an historian and author. He has published widely on Irish history, and his most recent book is Birth of the Border: The Impact of Partition in Ireland.
