A talk by Carmel O Toole in the Glenview Hotel
In her illustrated talk, Carmel will chart the history of Glenmalure from pre-Christian times to the present day. She will take us through times of war and rebellion, including the social, educational and sporting history of the community and surrounding areas.
Carmel O’Toole is an author, historian and educator who was born and reared in the Glenmalure valley, Co. Wicklow, where she still resides. Her book, Glenmalure the Wild Heart of the Mountains – a valley and its people, was published in 2015.
